Faithful Service, Near and Far.Missions Committee: Making a Difference Locally and Beyond
At Chelsea First, we are dedicated to embodying Christ’s call to love and serve others through impactful mission work. Our Missions Committee supports projects that make a lasting difference both locally and regionally, with a commitment to justice, inclusivity, and compassion. We partner with organizations such as Cass Community Services, Habitat for Humanity, and God’s Country Community Ministry, as well as international efforts through the United Methodist Advance.
Each year, we collaborate with groups like CROP Walk, Faith In Action, and Fair Trade Coffee to address urgent needs and uplift communities. We also support local ministries, missionaries, and various entities through financial contributions.
Priceless Gifts Store: Sharing Joy, Hope, and Dignity This Christmas
Christmas morning holds a special kind of joy, especially when parents get to see the excitement on their children’s faces. But for families facing financial challenges, providing gifts can be difficult.
The Priceless Gifts Store in Jackson helps make Christmas brighter by inviting parents and caregivers to choose gifts for their children at no cost. More than a toy giveaway, this ministry offers families the dignity of choosing something special for their own children.
Once again, Chelsea First’s Children’s Ministry is helping lead our congregation in collecting gently used toys. It’s a wonderful opportunity for all generations to share in the spirit of generosity and help bring Christmas joy to our neighbors.

Delivery to the Priceless Gifts Store: November 23

Share the Warmth This Winter!
Cass Community Coat Drive | November 15 – December 6
A warm winter coat is more than protection from the cold. It offers comfort, dignity, and a reminder that someone cares.
Chelsea First is once again collecting NEW winter coats in all sizes, for children and adults, to support the work of Cass Community Social Services in Detroit.
Last year, thanks to your generosity, we delivered 116 winter coats to Cass! Each coat was a tangible expression of love for our neighbors.
This year, we invite you to help us share that warmth again. Bring your new coat donations to the designated collection area in the coat hallway from November 15 through December 6. All donated coats will be delivered to Cass on December 15.
Together, we can help our neighbors face the Michigan winter with warmth, dignity, and the knowledge that their community cares.
