God’s Country Community Ministries Mission Trip
August 16–20, 2025
Join Chelsea First United Methodist Church for a meaningful week of service in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. Partnering with God’s Country Community Ministries, we’ll assist families through home repair and community outreach projects while growing in faith and building relationships.
All skill levels are welcome! Whether you’re experienced in construction or simply have a heart to serve, there’s a place for you on this mission team.
Cost: $350 (includes meals, lodging, and volunteer insurance)
Scholarships are available for those who need financial assistance.

Jackson Interfaith Shelter Collection
One of the ways we live out our faith is by caring for our neighbors in times of need. Throughout June, Chelsea First is partnering with Jackson Interfaith Shelter to help provide essential items for individuals and families working to rebuild their lives.
Donations may be placed in the collection box located in the hallway near the coat room through June 30.

- Bath towels
- Water bottles
- Men’s deodorant
- Women’s deodorant
- Disposable razors
- $10 Meijer or Walmart gift cards*
*Gift cards are used as incentives for residents who make progress in educational and life-skills programs. Please bring gift cards directly to the church office.
If you would prefer to purchase items online, you can also view the shelter’s wish list and have items shipped directly.

Missions Committee: Making a Difference Locally and Beyond
At Chelsea First, we are dedicated to embodying Christ’s call to love and serve others through impactful mission work. Our Missions Committee supports projects that make a lasting difference both locally and regionally, with a commitment to justice, inclusivity, and compassion. We partner with organizations such as Cass Community Services, Habitat for Humanity, and God’s Country Community Ministry, as well as international efforts through the United Methodist Advance.
Each year, we collaborate with groups like CROP Walk, Faith In Action, and Fair Trade Coffee to address urgent needs and uplift communities. We also support local ministries, missionaries, and various entities through financial contributions.
