October 2 – November 6 Mission Opportunity

Chelsea First will be hosting a warmth drive from Sunday, October 2 – Sunday, November 6.  We will be collecting new winter coats and sleeping bags for children and youth.  The Detroit Public School System estimates that 7,000 of their students are homeless or without heat in their homes.  The winter coats and sleeping bags we collect will be given to Detroit Public Schools for immediate distribution.

A collection box will be placed in the main entrance area of Chelsea First UMC.  Please spread the word.  Let’s do our best to assist those in need.

Rev. Gasaway has made special arrangements with Burlington Coat Factory to offer us special discounts on winter coats for the Detroit Public Schools Warmth Drive.  A great deal from Amazon has been found on outdoor and waterproof Sleeping Bags for Adult size.  https://a.co/d/aaQimKv

If you are a shopper we appreciate your donation.  If you are unable to shop but are able to donate, please consider doing so.  You can donate by making a check out to Chelsea First UMC and putting coats & sleeping bags in the memo line.
