Souper Sunday: Jesus Was a Migrant

Sunday, October 4 | 5:00 p.m. | Grams Hall

Our Souper Sunday Speaker Series returns this fall with an evening of film, conversation, food, and fellowship.

We’ll begin with a screening of Jesus Was a Migrant, a short documentary executive-produced by historian and author Dr. Jemar Tisby. The film travels to the U.S.-Mexico border and invites viewers to consider questions about migration, asylum, and what Christian faith asks of us in responding to our neighbors.

Following the film, we’ll have an opportunity for open discussion before gathering around tables for a shared meal and facilitated small-group conversation.

Souper Sundays are designed to create space for learning, thoughtful conversation, and connection—even when the subjects we explore are complex. You don’t need to come with all the answers. Come ready to listen, learn, share a meal, and get to know others around the table.

A freewill offering will be received to help offset the cost of screening the film.

All are welcome.
