Maundy Thursday Worship

April 2, 2026 – Maundy Thursday
Scripture: John 13:1-35
On his final night, Jesus gathers with his closest friends around a shared table. He knows what’s coming—betrayal, denial, abandonment—yet he washes feet, breaks bread, and offers the cup. Even knowing what Judas will do, Jesus does not turn him away. He serves him. He loves him.
In a world quick to cancel, Jesus offers compassion. He refuses to define Judas—or any of us—by our worst moment. Instead, he redefines what love looks like: not selective or safe, but radical, persistent, and full of grace.
This Maundy Thursday, we remember a love that kneels, that serves, that stays. It’s a love that includes even the ones who falter—Peter, Judas, and yes, us too. The good news is this: nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. And if we’ve received that love, we’re called to extend it—especially when it’s hard.
