BACK-TO-SCHOOL BLESSING

Sunday, August 30 • During and After Worship

A new school year is about to begin—and we’re celebrating! Join us on Sunday, August 30, as we gather as a church family to bless and encourage everyone heading into a new school year: students, teachers, paraprofessionals, school staff, families, and all who support our schools.

 Bring Your Backpack!

During worship, we’ll have a special Blessing of the Backpacks. We invite students—and anyone heading into a new school year—to bring a backpack, laptop bag, work bag, or whatever you carry with you each day. Bring it forward for a special blessing as we ask God to surround you with love, wisdom, courage, and care throughout the year.

And there’s a little something to take with you! Everyone who brings a backpack or bag will receive a special backpack tag to attach as a daily reminder of God’s love and care for you wherever the school year takes you.

 Then Let the Fun Begin!

After worship, we’ll gather for food and fellowship. During our children and youth group time, we’ll enjoy games, bounce houses, and lots of fun together! It will be a wonderful opportunity to connect, laugh, play, and celebrate the beginning of a new school year together.
