Join Chelsea First for a Disaster Relief Mission Trip to Georgia
Chelsea First United Methodist Church is preparing to serve in a disaster relief mission trip to Georgia from March 2–8, 2025. This effort comes in response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene, which struck in late September 2024, causing widespread destruction, heavy flooding, and tragically, more than 30 reported deaths.
Our mission team will work alongside other groups from across the Michigan Conference to provide much-needed assistance. The trip will involve Emergency Response tasks and Long-Term Recovery efforts to support communities as they rebuild.
Want to Join the Mission?
We’d love for you to join us! Early Response Training (ERT) is not required but is strongly recommended. Chelsea UMC will host an ERT session on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The training costs $35, and lunch will be provided.
