Freedom School – Flint

This Summer, three United Methodist Churches in Flint will host Freedom School summer enrichment and literacy programs for kids.  Freedom School runs for six weeks, June 24 – July 26.  The locations are Bethel UMC, Calvary UMC and Hope UMC.

At the invitation of the Program Director, Marquetta Hall, Chelsea First will send a mission crew to participate in two work days.  On June 21, we will help staff transform church rooms into Freedom School spaces and on July 29 we will reverse the process and help tear-down and clean-up.
