Join Us in Supporting Flint Freedom Schools – June 12!
We’re gearing up for a meaningful day of service and creativity with the Flint Freedom Schools on Thursday, June 12, 2025—and we’d love for you to be part of it!
Flint Freedom Schools is a summer enrichment program rooted in love, literacy, and leadership, offering a supportive and engaging environment for children. This year’s theme is “Freedom Around the World,” and we’re lending our hands and hearts to help set the stage—literally!
Here’s what the day looks like:
Want to help? Candy Burns will be available in the fellowship hall after worship on Sunday, June 1 and again in the social hall on Sunday, June 8 to answer your questions and help you get signed up.
And here’s another way you can support the effort: Do you have old National Geographic magazines? Edie Wiarda is looking for colorful, inspiring images for posters and decorations. Your donated magazines (or similar materials) will be lovingly cut up and transformed into art celebrating freedom across the globe.
Let’s be the hands and feet of Christ as we help create a space where children feel inspired, empowered, and loved. We hope you’ll join us!
