First published in 1949, Jesus and the Disinherited is a compassionate and insightful reflection on the life and message of Jesus. Howard Thurman, spiritual mentor to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., explores how self-love and the power of love can counter fear, hate, and deception, paving the way for liberation. Thurman’s work remains a source of spiritual renewal and guidance in the ongoing struggle against poverty, racism, and spiritual disconnection.

Laura Damschroder and Lisa Gray-Lion will guide these discussions, creating space for meaningful conversation and shared learning.
