In the busyness and demands of everyday life\, it can be difficult to pause long enough to notice wonder\, joy\, beauty\, and delight — the very gifts that often came so naturally to us as children. \nThis summer\, you are invited to continue that exploration through a three-week book discussion of Richard Beck’s Hunting Magic Eels: Recovering an Enchanted Faith in a Skeptical Age. Together\, we’ll reflect on what it means to recover a sense of sacred wonder in a world that can sometimes feel hurried\, distracted\, and disenchanted. \nWhether you have read every page\, skimmed a few chapters\, or are simply curious about the topic\, you are welcome to join the conversation. This group is for anyone who longs to reconnect with childlike wonder\, deepen their awareness of God’s presence\, and explore how faith can help us see the world with renewed imagination and hope. \nCome as you are. Bring your questions\, your curiosity\, and your openness to conversation. After all\, good discussion — like grace — has a way of showing up even when we feel a little unprepared. \nBooks are available wherever books are sold. Reading ahead is encouraged\, but not required.

DESCRIPTION:2026 Chelsea First UMC Family Camping Trip\nPack your tents\, campers\, lawn chairs\, and s’mores supplies — it’s time for a weekend of fellowship\, fun\, and fresh air! \nChelsea First UMC families are invited to join us for our 2026 Family Camping Trip from Friday\, July 24 through Sunday\, July 26 at Greenwood Acres Family Campground in Jackson\, Michigan. \nThis will be a wonderful opportunity to relax\, connect with other church families\, enjoy the outdoors\, and make memories together. Whether you are a longtime camper or just looking for a fun weekend away\, we hope you’ll join us for this special time of community and fellowship. \nFamilies are asked to RSVP with the number of individuals in their group so we can know who will be joining us. Each family should also contact Greenwood Acres directly at (517) 533-5432 to reserve a campsite.
