You’re invited to join us for Thursday Afternoon Bible Study\, beginning September 10. \nOur first study of the season will be Half Truths: God Helps Those Who Help Themselves and Other Things the Bible Doesn’t Say by Adam Hamilton. \nWe’ve all heard familiar sayings like “Everything happens for a reason” or “God helps those who help themselves.” They may sound biblical—but are they? In Half Truths\, Adam Hamilton takes a thoughtful and engaging look at several common phrases\, exploring the truth they contain\, where they can lead us astray\, and what Scripture actually teaches. \nWhether you’ve participated in Bible studies for years or are simply curious and looking for a place to begin\, you are welcome. DESCRIPTION:For Parents & Caregivers \nParenting takes a village—and we’re grateful to have one! This fall\, we invite all parents and caregivers to join our Parenting Group\, a welcoming space to talk\, listen\, share\, learn\, laugh\, and support one another through the joys and challenges of parenting. \nThis fall\, we’ll explore When Kids Ask Hard Questions\, Volume 2: Faith-Filled Responses for Tough Topics\, edited by Bromleigh McCleneghan and Karen Ware Jackson. \nThis thoughtful collection brings together a variety of short essays from different voices\, offering faith-filled perspectives and practical wisdom for responding when children and teens ask difficult\, complicated\, or unexpected questions. Chelsea Community Chorus presents “With One Voice” at the Chelsea Retirement Community Chapel Service on Sunday\, September 27 at 3:00 pm. \nThis concert is a wonderful opportunity to gather\, listen\, worship\, and be reminded of the power of music to bring people together. When voices join in song\, something sacred happens. We are reminded that we are not alone\, that our stories are connected\, and that God can use music to speak hope\, peace\, and joy into our lives. \nWe are grateful for the singers\, musicians\, organizers\, and all who continue to make these moments possible. We are also grateful for everyone who helps extend the invitation.
